A new Gionee smartphone, codenamed the Gionee GN5006L, has been spotted on the Chinese certification website TENAA. According to the reports, the phone will be launched as the Gionee Steel 3 and is one of the eight upcoming smartphones scheduled to be launched in China on November 26.
In addition to the images, the listing also gives out a lot of information about the specifications. The Gionee GN5006L comes with a 5.5-inch display with HD+ (720 x 1440 pixels) resolution. It reportedly features a screen ratio of 18:9. This screen ratio is getting popular nowadays and quickly making its way from the premium smartphones to the mid-range and affordable segment devices.
The smartphone is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core processor (chipset unknown) and will arrive in two variants - 2GB RAM with 16GB storage and 3GB RAM with 32GB storage. Storage is expandable and can accommodate up to 256GB of microSD card. It will run Android 7.1.1 out of the box. According to the listing, the Gionee GN5006L houses a 4,000mAh battery pack and will ship in three colours - Black, Gold, Blue.
Other phones that are expected to be launched with the Gionee Steel 3 include the M7 Plus, S11 Plus, F6L, F205, M2018 and S11.
