Guys at TechConfigurations seem to be in love with the highly praised HTC U11. So much so that they have pushed the product extremely further to create a render for the concept version of its successor HTC U12.
The design shows a completely bezel-less display with the screen-to-body ratio of 96%. The display takes up the entire real estate of the front leaving just an area equivalent to a small dot for the front camera. According to the render, the display also makes use of the integrated fingerprint scanner to unlock the device.
The HTC U12 Concept borrows some glossiness from its predecessor and features HTC’s Classic curved back design. Everything combines perfectly to create an extremely good looking design.
The concept shows HTC U12 to be available in peppy colours like blue, red and Ocean Blue beside the regular black.
Despite having a negligible bezel, the designer manages to squeeze in the dual front-firing speakers on the extreme top and bottom points.
As for the specifications, the HTC U12 Concept brings 5.9-inch AMOLED display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and encased in a metallic body which is water- and dust-proof with IP68 certification. A Snapdragon 845 chipset sits under the hood, accompanied by 4/6 GB of RAM. A compact 16MP camera sits at the front, while two 16MP advanced sensors from Sony are embedded in a dual camera setup manner to take care of the primary photography.
