A new entry-level smartphone from Samsung has been spotted on the GFXBench. The device has been listed as the SM-J337, which means that it could probably be the next generation of the Samsung Galaxy J3, as the current generation Galaxy J3 carries the model number SM-J330.
The GFXBench listing reveals a lot of details about the specifications. The SM-J337 features a 5-inch multi-touch display with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) resolution. Under the hood, it has a 1.5GHz quad-core processor accompanied by 2GB RAM and Mali-G71 GPU. On the camera front, there is an 8-megapixel camera with face detection and autofocus at the back and a 5-megapixel camera with full-HD video recording on the front. The SM-J337 gets 16GB of inbuilt storage out of which 9GB will be available to the users.
A few reports also suggest that it might launch as the Samsung Galaxy J5 2018. If that happens, it will be a significant downgradation of the J5 series, as the current generation Galaxy J5 is quite powerful in comparison to this smartphone.
Going by the specification, it seems more like a successor to the current generation Galaxy J3 which has similar features but with a slightly underclocked 1.4GHz processor and a better 13MP camera.
