It was earlier reported that Samsung is working on the new Galaxy Tab Active 2, which is expected to be offered in two variants. Now, the images of the same have surfaced online, which reveals a lot about the upcoming tab when looked closer.
The images clearly show that the tab features a rugged built body and is most likely to be IP68 certified, which will enable it to survive a drop into the water for around 1.5 feet deep. Moreover, the brightness of the display is expected to be around 480 Nits.
According to the GFX Benchmark, the tablet is most likely to sport an 8.0-inch HD display. It will be powered by the Exynos 7870 octa-core processor, paired with a 3GB RAM. The inbuilt storage capacity of the device will be 16GB. In the optics department, the tablet is profiled to equip an 8MP primary camera and a 5MP selfie snapper by the GFXBench. It runs the Android v7.1.1 (Nougat) based on the Galaxy user interface.
The other significant information we get from the surfaced images is the inclusion of S-pen functionality and Bixby compatibility. S-pen aids to write, draw and do any touch gestures on the screen, while Bixby is the voice-powered digital assistant.
The manual of the tablet reveals that the back panel of the device is detachable, which ensures that the tablet gets a removable battery. Type-C USB and fingerprint sensor are also present.
