The user manual of Samsung’s upcoming tablet, the Galaxy Tab Active 2, was recently prematurely published on the company’s support page. This tablet is the successor of Samsung Galaxy Tab Active which was launched way back in 2014. However, the leaked documentation has actually revealed some of the specifications of the tablet.
As the manual suggests, the tablet will be shipped with an 8-inch display featuring a screen resolution of 1,200 x 800 pixels. At the front, the tab will have a light/proximity sensor coupled with a front-facing camera and a loudspeaker. At the bottom, there will be three physical buttons, one of which would be a fingerprint recognition sensor. The tablet will also feature a removable battery and will support GPS and NFC.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is expected to come with an eight ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores and 3GB of RAM. At the storage front, there could be a 16GB of internal memory to give ample amount of space. The tablet is also expected to be equipped with an 8MP camera at the rear accompanied by an LED flash, while the front-facing camera would have a resolution of 5MP.
However, it is not clear when Samsung will officially launch the Galaxy Tab Active 2 but considering how the user manual is available for download, the tablet’s market launch could be just around the corner.
