The Chinese company, Xiaomi, is all ready to launch the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus smartphones on December 7th. Before the launch, the spokesperson of the company has revealed the images of the upcoming smartphones on the social networking site.
According to the images, both the phones will feature an elongated screen of 18:9 aspect ratio. The images also suggests that there will not be any capacitive buttons on the smartphones and therefore, the fingerprint scanner will be located at the rear panel.
Redmi 5 is expected to feature a 5.7-inch HD display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Furthermore, it will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor coupled with 3GB RAM. Anticipations are that the smartphone could be equipped with a 12MP and 6MP cameras at the rear and front respectively. It is reported that the smartphone will come in two variants; 3GB RAM and 16GB internal memory and 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory.
As per the images surfaced online, Redmi 5 Plus will exhibit a 5.9-inch full HD display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Unlike Redmi 5, the smartphone could come with a Snapdragon 625 SoC or Snapdragon 630 SoC. It is expected to sport a dual camera at the back, with a combination of 12MP and 5MP cameras. Similar to Redmi 5, the smartphone is expected launch in two variants: 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory; and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage.
